Fifteen-year-old Kaylin Podmore has a pretty great life, basically everything a teenager living in Lexington, Kentucky could ever dream of. Her parents own one of the most successful Thoroughbred racehorse operations in the country and she has three of the best friends any girl could have, especially as her freshman year of high school starts to come to an end. She catches the eye of Lucas Mitchell, a sophomore starting quarterback for her school's varsity football team. As they learn about one another and grow closer, a potential serious relationship starts to grow between them, but her ex-boyfriend Jesse Landford, her older sister Kimberly and Lucas's ex-girlfriend, Nichole Young, are determined to try to keep them from getting together for different reasons. Kaylin knows Nichole is a stuck up spoiled rich girl, and she doesn't believe a word that Nichole says about her and Lucas, but her sister's another story. She and Kim know their dad isn't exactly keen on either of his daughters dating so it causes problems in-between them after Kim shares the news with their dad about her and Lucas's budding relationship. Other than their friends, the only people who seem to like the idea of Kaylin and Lucas potentially getting together are her mom and his family, who're all being supportive because they know each other from their kids going to school together and being in the same business, even if they're competitors. Her mom often has to settle disputes in-between her and her dad but that doesn't mean her dad is going to stop being negative about Kaylin's growing relationship with Lucas. Kaylin is set on finishing out the year, hopefully with Lucas as her boyfriend despite the trouble it is causing in her life to have a great summer with her friends and watching her favorite horse, Faith's Magic, start her racing career.

"The Last Ride"

1 part Complete

Despite being orphaned, when she was only nine, Katrina is a high spirted determined young lady and has established a hard working role on her grandparents' Kentucky farm. She has her heart set on competing in show jumping with her beautiful black thoroughbred, Lightning. Her ballsy Mamie, and fun loving Uncle are wiling to help her make desire happen. Katrina's seemingly insensitive Pappy however, doesn't feel the same way. Soon after overcoming her fear of a retired jockey, who proves to be the opposite of what she originally thought of him offers to train her and talks Pappy into giving Katrina the chance in the world of equestrian. Once she is introduced to the bubbly Sabrina, who is a champion competitor, the junior riders become best friends and Katrina is quickly drawn into other types of riding. Katrina soon sets her sights on competing in the Olympics and is swept off her feet by the charming stud Charlie, a childhood friend whom she has had a crush on for a long time confesses his love for her. Before she reaches her goal of competing in the Olympics every thing comes to a screeching halt when tragedy strikes. Her emotionally suppressed Pappy is forced to face his inner demons as he is conflicted with the decision to let Katrina continue to ride or to put an end to her equestrian journey.
