Humans have been enslaved. It's been like this for quite sometime now, ever since the Wolf Blood's conquered the human world. Everleigh's family fell victim to this horrendous reality in which they live in slums and are bound to their enslavement for generations to come.
Everleigh was raised in poverty and enslavement from the minute she was born, along with generations of her family before her.
