Book One of an ongoing series. This will probably be my biggest work yet.

The first enemy has fallen, Naruto has beaten Mizuki and Iruka has given him a pass to the rank of genin. But Mizuki was only the first. Uzumaki Naruto has many enemies in Konoha and outside Konoha, whether by any fault of his own or not, and not all of them are small fry like Mizuki. Sandaime Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, is painfully aware of this unfortunate fact. He knows Naruto's generation will be the deciding factor in this ancient tale of power, greed, and control that began with the clash between the Senju and Uchiha millennia ago. Along with his most trusted, Hiruzen sets the pieces on the board according to his terms, with the hope that the younger generation, the generation Konoha's future would hinge on, will take their pieces and win their parts in this battle.
