You and Leon awkwardly laugh and exchange glances at each other.

"Uh, well-" You stutter, but Leon simply laughs, looking bashful.

"Yeah, you could say that." Leon smiles at you.

Leon lets out a laugh and reaches for your hand, locking your fingers together and putting it in his lap.

"You two lovers or something?" The Hispanic officer escort looked at you through his rearview mirror.

You and Leon look to each other briefly with knowing smiles. The two of you look out your separate windows and interlock your fingers on the back seat between you.

"You could say that . . ." You say quietly, ending the conversation.

You couldn't help but let out a small laugh, having been asked this question several times before. You open your mouth to say how complicated it was, but Leon beat you to it.

"Yeah, you could say that." Leon smirks at you.

Luis holds up his arms in surrender, "Sorry, Boss, didn't know she was your girl."

You roll your eyes with a small smile, causing him to send a playful look to Leon, "She is your girl, right?"

Leon scoffs, "Shut up and tell me what you know."
