"I don't need you, Kasper, and I never did. You're just a product of my father's paranoia."

Anastasia is the daughter of Victor Poet, a famous actor from Hollywood since the 90's.
She's sick of being coddled and controlled by her father.
She wants to be independent, yet she's just shy of 22 and still living with him; all because he doesn't want to let his girl go.
Everything changes when Anastasia escapes an attempted assault at her father's awards evening, causing him to decide that hiring her a bodyguard is the best way to protect her.
She's less than thrilled.

Kasper Lockwood has been in this line of work since he was 18, but he's never had a client as stubborn and difficult as Anastasia Poet.
She hates him, that much is certain.
The worrying part is that he loves the way she hates him.
Now having to accompany Anastasia everywhere she goes, Kasper is forced to get along with her.
At least, as much as she will let him.
Despite his difficulty protecting her, Kasper soon learns that his job is worth much more than his paycheque.
He believes a good thing can't last forever.
But he's willing to try.
