The Dark Empress

In the lands of Eve, magic stirs within the blood of all who reside. There are lords and knights and queens and priestesses, and then there is everyone else - including the monsters that lurk, leaving behind trails of misery and terror.
Above them all, in the highest of courts, there is Her. The Dark Empress.

23 year old Esmeralda resides as a maiden to one of the empire's queens. Esmeralda's plain, quiet life changes when a powerful yet quiet lord, Myrrh, comes to court and chooses Esmeralda as his consort.
Dreams come true, it would seem at first for Esmeralda, but as the Dark Empress comes to take power of Myrrh's estate, the young dreamer's life is taken on another, entirely different path.
