When a Chinese King receives the power of the Sacred Gear of Draguragth, he uses it to unify China and becomes the first Red Dragon Emperor, but a coven of witches, who believes no one should have this power, decided curse the Emperor and became an order of heroes who swore to guard the Emperor's tomb from those who would awaken him. In the modern world, Universal, the Warriors of the Earth scoped out Hyou Academy student and prophesied protector Issei Hyoudou to the Japan Division. There, he encounters his Sacred Gear of the Red Dragon Emperor who was the same Sacred Gear that allowed the first Chinese Emperor to unify China, therefore uses it to protect the Earth from those who would seek to destroy it
