"Regulus Black is never going to catch a break.
He wants to bury his face in his hands and groan into them. The only reason he restrains himself from doing so is that the other figure skaters have started glancing over at him-probably wondering why the hell he's talking to a hockey player. Regulus would very much like to know too.
Oblivious to everything else, James raises an eyebrow towards Regulus. 'I guess we'll be seeing each other around, then?'

When Sirius moves out, Regulus Black thinks that maybe James Potter will finally be out of his life too.
Good. Competition season is coming up, and it'll be his first year at the junior level. As the upcoming skating star of the Black family, Regulus can't afford to lose-and the absolute last thing he needs is a hockey player to mess everything up for him. All he needs is for James to stay out of his way, and he'll be good as gold.
James doesn't stay out of his way. And Regulus has a long way to go before he can even think about bearing a medal around his neck.

(front cover by @_oladka_art_ on ig) Regulus Black hates James Potter. He hates him because he's loud, obnoxious, stupid and worst of all a brother-stealer. But he also hates him because of the pretty hazel colour of his eyes and his light brown skin and his stupid freckles and the feel of his hands on his- wait what?! suddenly regulus is spending every waking moment thinking about James Potter and every possible moment staring at James Potter because he just can't seem to keep his eyes off the boy.... James Potter doesn't know Regulus Black but he knows this much: Regulus hates him. It's evident from the way Regulus glares at him every time they make eye contact across the great hall and in the corridors, yet James doesn't stop trying to talk to the boy and spend time with him. Something about Regulus Black entices James. maybe it's the soft pale skin. Or the beautiful raven dark curls. Or the feel of his waist under his palms. Or the light grey eyes that James can't stop losing himself in... Includes background: Wolfstar, Rosekiller and Dorlene Premise okay. The story is a bit weird and I wrote this when I was young.
