The Cornerstone Narration

• Hafidh ibn Abdul-Barr said in his book At-Tamheed:

"It's the most complete, the most perfect and the best narration reported on Hajj in its entirety"

• Al-Qaadi 'Iyaad said in his explanation of Sahih Muslim:

"Ibn al-Mundhir authored a thick volume whose central topic is this Hadith. He extracted more than 150 Fiqh (jurisprudence) benefits out of this one Hadith."

• Imam Nawawi said in his explanation of Sahih Muslim:

"It's a magnificent Hadith which incorporates numerous benefits and precious important principles. And this is from the Hadiths that are only collected by Muslim and not Bukhari."

• Ibn Katheer said in his book Al-Bidāyah wan-Nihāyah:

"This Hadith in of itself is an independent Hajj manual"
