His eyes, once bright with laughter and mischief, now held a depth of sorrow that pierced Reet's soul.

"Don't," she choked out, tears cascading down her cheeks like a torrential downpour. "Don't say it."

But Taehyung, ever the bearer of truths, pressed on.

"I wish I had more time," he confessed, voice trembling with a mixture of regret and acceptance.
