Max is 8 years old when a mysterious girl appears in his village during a storm. Her name is Sakura and she is 16. Giving no information about her past, Sakura tells Max's large family she needs a place to stay until the winter is over. Over the next few months, Max becomes obsessively in love with Sakura. But they do not know Sakura's secret. She has been cursed all her life, and destruction follows her. In the middle of a second storm, a fire kills all 17 members of Max's family, but Sakura is leaving Max alone. Bitterness and hurt take the place of his love for Sakura as she watches him, and walks away. In the future, Sakura's secrets will be revealed, and one day Max will assume power over her land, and then it will all be over.All Rights Reserved
