James has been orbiting idly around the earth and his local ice rink for some time, fine yet somewhat unsatisfied. Except one day, a boy in the middle of the rink's vortex catches his attention; he's perfectly poised, dizzyingly beautiful-and silent. Suddenly, he finds himself not orbiting around the earth but around a star.

In a whirlwind, a figure whizzes by his right side. James tracks them-him, he assumes-with his eyes. The person is lithe and light on his feet, swiftly sliding by everyone. Impeccable posture as well, like there's a string extending from his head to his toes.

He never once falters or loses balance; he's in perfect harmony with himself, possessing the grace of a swan in a lake. When he swivels around so his face is in view, James loses himself in reveries. The stranger slows down, and James' brain slows down with him. He catches a glimpse of neatly combed brown curls and a fringe that spills shade over his shadowy grey eyes, cheeks a dusty shade of pink that reminds him of a wilted rose.

He's...well...gorgeous.

Except for Sirius; the only certainty she has left in the world. However, war only seems to be threatening to tear them apart. She can't quite put her finger on what has started changing, but something certainly has, and love may not be enough to get her through it this time. It is only a matter of time before Marlene must make the most important choice of all; join the war or fall apart.
