These Unexpected Bonds

Hermione thought that she and Ron would last. She truly believed that opposites attract and they would be together for a long time. First loves don't always last as long as you'd think. Hogwarts has been rebuilt, the fallen have been buried, and the summer has come to an end. With Hermione going back to Hogwarts for her missed seventh year, and Harry and Ron going off for Auror training, they all believe some time apart will bring them back together as friends again someday. While nursing a broken heart, Hermione attempts to stay at the top of her class, but there is a surprise competitor for the top spot. Draco Malfoy has been handed down his punishment from the Ministry of Magic for his role in the war: Help rebuild the school and then go back to retake his seventh year. He avoids Granger as much as he can until he is forced to acknowledge her existence. The two get paired up for their final British Magical Laws project, and there's no way out of it. Well, good thing they have several months to figure out how to get along.
