Dahlia Marie Jackson was born believing in fairytale endings. She spent her childhood thinking that when she grew up, she would be walking down the street and stumble into a handsome stranger. She believed that when they both bent down to pick up her books, they would touch the same book, look up and stare into each other's eyes and would fall madly in love. God was she wrong. She did not meet the man she would marry on a street, they did not stare into each other's eyes, and they definitely did not fall in love. Damien Lupin grew up seeing the world as cruel and unrelenting. He once dreamt of fairytales, but after the death of his mother's best friend, he saw the world for what it truly was, cruel. He had loved his godmother and after she died, he swore to never fall in love again. He knew he would have to marry to carry on the family name, but he would never love his wife. His wife, Dahlia Marie Jackson. They had been engaged from the moment she was born. It had been what their mothers had agreed on. He tried to get out of it, but he could never disappoint Marie. Finn Jackson wanted his wife. He was stuck with their daughter instead. A daughter who as she grew up, looked more like her mother. Dahlia and Damien had not seen each other since they were kids. The day she is summoned to start her new life as a Lupin, she realizes she has seen Damien before. That night she had her heart broken. Come with Dahlia as she struggles with her marriage. Will she be able to open up her heart to Damien or will she be consumed whole by him?
