Melody just moved to town with her mom because she lost her job, and a cousin of her mom's (who she's never met) was going to help them out. Little did she know that she would uncover secrets about her past, and also find love in a place she didn't even want to go to. She left behind a whole life and was forced to start a new one, but it happened to be a good one. She found her first love, but when she discovers who her mom's cousin, her aunt is, things get complicated...

A/N: Sorry guys! Bad and short description but I'm new at this so don't hate me. Anyway, all rights go to S.E. Hinton. The only characters I own are the Johnsons, the others are owned by S.E. Hinton, my role model. She's the one who inspired me to write this and she completely changed my life. The other characters you won't recognize from the book are real life people who I asked if they wanted some characters to be named after them.

Darrel is stressed with work and taking care of his two brothers and was getting angry a lot recently. Sodapop felt disconnected and almost sick all of the time and was very tired of being a middleman to his brothers all the time. Ponyboy was struggling with his sexual orientation and was scared what others would say when he realised he had fallen in love with, not even a girl, but Johnny Cade. Really just me trauma-dumping onto all of the Curtis brothers and adding Darrel's anger issues to the mix.
