Partnered by the organization they work for, detectives with the codenames B and R work to solve their first case together. When they first heard of the case, they were skeptical. What the duo wasn't expecting was that this man they were after would pose quite the big threat to them. Who will win this battle? [Note, this story is slightly based on Death Note, being two one-letter named detectives. Also, this book is a partner project between me and my friend Rainebow_Tea. All sections dubbed with R's commentary are rightfully hers.]

Partially mute, he hides behind his screen and solves crimes anonymously. Speaking to taskforces with text to speech, and no face shown. Until he's pushed into a corner with a particularly tricky case, and ends up having to make his first face to face interaction. (y/n) shows up to the hotel room of the worlds greatest detective, thinking they'd see a well polished, wise old man. Instead they're met with a tired, young and rather huggable looking guy with eyebags holding a torn notebook page saying "I am L, and I can't talk" -- GNC READER.
