Esmerelda and Thomas found a quiet corner of the Glade, the sun casting a soft glow over the wildflowers. They paused, catching their breath from a long day in the maze.

Thomas glanced at Esmerelda, a smile tugging at his lips. "I didn't think we'd ever find a place like this."

Esmerelda returned his smile. He spoke up. "It's beautiful, just like you."

Thomas stepped closer, his voice trembling slightly. "I know you hate feelings, especially corny ones but... I love you."

Her eyes softened. "I know Tommy. You mean more to me than I realized."

Thomas's heart pounded as he leaned in, their lips meeting in a gentle kiss. When they pulled away, he whispered, "No matter what happens, I want you to know I'm here for you."

Esmerelda rested her forehead against his. "And I'm here for you, too. Always."
