I make my way through the crowd desperate to find something to drink. I find the kitchen after being pushed through sweaty dancing people and grab a beer from the counter. Not exactly my favourite drink of choice but it will do for now.
"Well if it isn't baby Phoebe." I roll my eyes at the sound of the raspy voice coming from behind me. Unlike every other breathing woman on campus, his voice doesn't send my underwear flying off, it makes me mad. I turn around and stare up into his deep green eyes.
Alejandro fucking Martinez. Known fuck boy, hockey captain, academic prodigy (he's second in the grade, behind me of course), and we cant forget, my twin brother's best friend. My face morphs into a look of disgust as I speak "What could you possibly want Alex?" I ask sarcasm dripping from my voice.
"I was just wondering if your brother knew what you were up too, thats all." He says in a fake innocent tone. My eyes narrow as the smirk on his face begins to grow. I put on a fake smile and answer "How about you mind your fucking business?" I say in a sickly sweet voice.
His smirk drops and he crosses his arms. I can tell he didn't appreciate my response, it makes me smile slightly. Making men mad has always been a hobby of mine. Sipping on my beer I watch as he gives me a once over. His eyes trace my body and linger on places I don't appreciate him lingering on. I roll my eyes once again and start walking away, "Have a good night Alex." I say with absolutely no enthusiasm at all.
Phoebe Davis has always been the star of the show. Naturally beautiful and she knew it. Top of her class, well most of the time, social, confident and not afraid to stand up for what she thought was right. Her life wasn't perfect but she made do with what she had. Everything ran smoothly except for one tiny annoying and god like bump in the road. Alejandro Martinez.
