Wendy Case is a widowed single mom that has just moved to the small town of Charming with her two daughters Alexa and Isabella following the unexpected death of her husband who had been in a coma for nearly two years following a horrific car accident that he was involved in late one night.

While both Wendy and her youngest are looking forward to having a chance at a fresh start in Charming, her older daughter isn't quite as keen about the situation and has been pulling away from her mom and sister since the loss of her father.
