Weird... that's one word. A rather rude one, but it was the right one to describe me. Or delusional, considering I want to be a hero, but my quirk is so useless.



Izuku had a very... dark mindset. When he first met his childhood friend, Katsuki Bakugo, he started dragging him into his schemes. Inko didn't mind much, brushing it off as the creative mind of a young boy. She was a supportive mother, so she let him do a lot of things other kids couldn't-

-No, he wasn't allowed to do drugs, get your mind outa the gutter.

Hell, at the crisp age of 10 he was allowed to go outside at night, alone. All he needed was his phone, his location on, and to come back before 9:30. 

One night, she was in his room, helping him clean it, when she found a rat corpse he put in a jar. She screamed so loud the neighbors came to check on the two. Izuku said it was his special little friend he found on a walk, so she let him keep it. That's most likely one of the reasons he's being bullied.

"Oi, Deku. Whatcha thinking about this time? Do you wanna hit the teacher and put his kinda in a jar?" Katsuki taunted. Izuku only looked up and him, rolling his eyes.

"Don't be silly," he started, making Katsuki's underling heart race. "His lungs would be too big to fit in a jar. I'd need a larger container, like a-"

BakuDeku - Midoriya Izuku found himself quirkless and quickly at the non-existent mercy of his classmates as he entered middle school. Every day he survived, he was beating the odds, even as the bruises teased at his nerves through his skin, taunting him long after his tormentors' fists had last made physical contact. When he found the fighting ring, he expected to just become a living punching bag, really. He didn't expect people to look past his quirklessness and take him under their wing, essentially training their own competition. He didn't expect to get good at it, and he didn't expect to be noticed when he did. When Izuku and Katsuki got accepted into UA, the class cheered for Katsuki and jeered at Izuku for daring to pretend to be in the same league as someone like Katsuki, even when Izuku only managed to make it into general studies. So, Katsuki went to UA, and Izuku quietly said, "thanks for the opportunity, but no thanks," and switched to an advanced online schooling option. It was just the rule of the world, and rules were rules. Some things couldn't be helped. Besides... He had a feeling UA would ask too many questions about the constant bruising blooming so beautifully across his face that Aldera staff had so pointedly ignored. And even if UA didn't ask questions about the bruises and abrasions on his face, they definitely would about the ones across his busted knuckles. In the Pit, Midoriya Izuku didn't exist. In the Pit, he was Viper. In the Pit, Viper was a quirkless fighter who still faced prejudice and bias, but everyone fought quirkless in the Pit, so at least it was a level playing field. In the real world, Midoriya Izuku put on a smile and explained his bruises away on him being quirkless and finding himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. In the Pit, Viper fought back viciously quick and calculating, earning every bruise and giving back just as many. And sometimes he even won.

Bakugo has all the friends, who he called "extras", he wanted. He was super popular and a bit cocky. Bakugo called Izuku, Deku, which Izuku hated. Bakugo did typical high school bully things to our adorable nerd. What will happen when he realizes this nerd isn't so bad? Suggest a title for this if you have an idea! At his new school believe it or not he was one of the strongest kids there, it was a school for only quirkless kids of course. He started working out and got a lot stronger, he would sometimes sneak out with his friends and workout out with them. As said before his friends wasn't the nice bubbly kids you think he would have, in fact their not even close. Izuku changed from middle school and started drinking and smoking, he also tended to get in fights with random people for looking at him wrong. Clearly different from when he was growing up.
