"His body turned, and he was looking at Robin, at her concerned face, and then he was looking past it, and-

Tick, tick, tick, tick

His breath caught, a chill running down his spine, freezing his body in place.

'Robin,' he said softly, shakily. She raised her eyebrows. 'Please tell me you see that too.'"

It's been a year since the streets of Hawkins, Indiana split open, since the Upside Down became the right side up. They managed to kill whatever had become of the last (truly) living member of the Creel house, but not before Hawkins became a ghost town. Now, the population is barely pushing seven hundred, but they decide it's safer that way.

They thought everything with the Upside Down, with Vecna, with the Mindflayer, with Brenner and everything else had ended, had gone away. They thought they were safe, finally.

Oh, how wrong they were.

Abuse and mentions of SA along with drug use drinking and some smut. I don't write that a lot so will see if those are any good. Let Me know. Most is already written just need to get it on here. Please be nice no need to leave any negative comments. I am dyslexic and spelling is horrible. I'm still working on it. I will post trigger warning at the beginning. Also I embellish on the PTSD flash backs don't happen like how I present it in some chapters. It's more staring off Going through the memories then coming back. But there are different kind of flashbacks that people can have and i go over it a little. *Started in August 2022* *Finished December 16th 2022* -9/11/24 Going under some slow editing at the moment fixing some spelling and grammar mistakes and some parts that I didn't like how they were written so im just making it sounds better or adding more to it.

"Sometimes memories are the worst forms of torture." - "Well, if it's not frostbite, then what is it?" "It's disgusting is what it is, Carol," Gwen scrunches up her face. "Yeah, seriously. Listen to Pengwen and get it off the table. We're eating here," Steve says with a mouthful of pudding. Gwen looks at Steve with furrowed brows. "Penguin?" Steve pauses with his spoon mid air and looks at the girl. "Yeah. Pengwen," He drops the spoon and lifts his left hand. "Penguin," Then he lifts his right hand. "Gwen," He slaps his hands together. "Pengwen," He smiles. "I kind of hate it," She smiles. Steve shrugs. "Well, I could switch it out with 'Gwenny', 'Wendy'..." Gwen stops him, holding her hands up with wide eyes. "Okay, stop," Steve puts his index finger in the air like he's just had a revolutionary idea. "Oooh, how about 'Gwenola'?" He raises his eye brows for emphasis. "'Pengwen'. 'Pengwen' is fine," Gwen chuckles. Steve smiles. "Good to know!" - Gwen Henderson was given another chance at life when she was 13 years old. Adopted by Claudia Henderson, she was finally able to be a somewhat normal teenager. She had a loving family, an annoyingly adorable little brother, and a fresh reputation at school. She seemed to get on with the new lifestyle great as well. She got along with the small family, and even got along with her adoptive brothers friends. And although this may sound great to any other normal teen, Gwen was still ridden with the trauma and guilt of her past. Sleepless nights were a common occurrence, as were the nightmares that had her jolting up in bed, drenched in sweat with a scream. Even given the chance of a new life, her past seemed to follow her everywhere she went. ━━━━━━━━ Steve Harrington x Fem OC Slow burn! season 1- ✅ season 2- ✅ season 3- ✅ season 4- ✅ season 5- tba!

"Look, we're running out of time here and if you don't let go now to grab my hand, we're both going down," he pressed, eyes flickering between yours. "And I don't know about you, but I'd really prefer to stay alive tonight. So for both our sakes, you're going to have to take a leap of faith here." "Okay," you finally said, your voice soft, almost a whisper. He widened his eyes, quickly nodding to show you it was alright, that he'd catch you. "On three?" he asked, not wanting to rush you but knowing he had to if you both were going to make it out alive. You gave him a single nod. He hadn't even made it to two before you let go, firmly grabbing his elbow. Your clammy hands nearly slipped, causing you to yelp, but he quickly seized your hand, his fingers slotting through yours with a secure grip. With a strong pull, he lifted you up, the momentum sending you crashing onto him on the cement, safely away from the edge. The wall cracked and crumbled, falling along with the vine into the boiling liquid below. His arms encircled you, holding you firmly against his chest. "I got you," he murmured, letting his head rest against the hard ground as he looked up at the sky, his hands gently cradling your head. Your face nestled into the crook of his neck as you tried to steady your breathing. "I got you." // You've always lived for the dramatics, always patiently waiting for something, anything to change your life. After the earthquake that nearly tore Hawkins apart, you selfishly thought your moment had finally arrived. You didn't believe in coincidences. Hawkins didn't get earthquakes, and for one to just happen at such a huge magnitude was extremely bizarre. Something more had to be at play, and you were determined to uncover it. You didn't anticipate, however, just how much it would impact your life, or that it would all stem from meeting a certain group of people. *This is a Stranger Things Fiction *Steve Harrington x Female Reader
