Grian had been different his whole life. he looked nothing like any of the other people in his species, his hair was dirty blonde like the sandy floor and his eyes were a deep obsidian black. his whole life, he had been prodded and laughed at. but what happens when he finally grows his wings, is it for the better... or for the worse?

Even in a world where almost everyone is born with a whym, an otherworldly ability, there are still people who feel alienated in this strange, superhuman society. Grian is teenager born with strangely coloured wings. Most are a light brown, or white, or maybe blond, but his are bright purple. After being teased for it all his life, he's decided that people he meets in real life just suck. So, getting invited to a Discord server with more social rejects like him seems like a great escape from his reality. ~The hermits had huddled around a large hole in the ground. At the bottom of the hole sat two people. One had bright orange hair with a face full of freckles and what seemed to be antlers sticking out of her hair. The other was facing away from Grian and was wearing a plain grey jacket with the hood pulled up over their head. They turned and met the builders gaze and time seemed to slow to a stop. Grian couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was standing face to face with a dead person~ Grian left Evo and joined the watchers, whom he then betrayed and in turn, they destroyed Evo and everyone in it. But that's not where the story ends, because when season 8 of hermitcraft rolls around, Grian is shocked to see a familiar face. But what he doesn't know is that this familiar face is there for a reason. Because the watchers wanted Grian back.
