The search for South American oil and gas has reached Peru. The local indigenous tribes are losing their livelihoods because of the invasive access logging. Some of the remote un-contacted tribes have been killed by western infections like influenza because they have no natural immunity to the viruses
The Peruvian government is unsympathetic to their plight because the bribery and advances that the oil companies offer their officials are far more tempting and corruption is rife. The tribes are fighting back in the only way they know, bloody conflicts that they cannot win. Beneath the surface another clock is ticking, the un-contacted tribes are giving the western explorers something they didn't expect, an infection that they cannot fight and it comes with an added surprise, the victims are becoming sterile. Now the fight is on to contain the epidemic from reaching global populations. Two doctors think they have the answer, one of them is Serafina.....
