Layla Jacobs is your typical it girl. Smart, sarcastic, delusional, hyper and witty. She moves to California after her family decides she needs a fresh start. All that goes down the drain when she's caught up in a scandal with Lakeview High's very own playboy, Alex Parker.

Alex Parker is a name known to everyone at Lakeview High. Well, everyone except Layla. She can't seem to get the hype about him. Sure, he may be good looking and smart and an almost international model.....but so what? Her only goal is to get through her last years of high school stress-free.

When the pair get caught up in a rumor together, Alex proposes a deal. Date for a date. They pretend to date in order for Layla to catch the eye of a certain best friend of his and for Alex to get his cray-cray ex-girlfriend off his back. Win-win right???
