"Wise racer once told me, 'family is the only thing to look forward to at the end of that finish line'. Of course, he said that before he broke my heart...for my sister."
"And it's okay. I'm over it. But now when the one person I love most is killed because of him...you'd be pissed off too."
"My name is Tina Ortiz, and this is my family. And by family, I mean the crazy, loyal, illegal, adrenaline-pumping team with the most badass racing skills in all of LA...maybe even the world."
((This book is an updated, better, and more action packed version of my original F&F book. Enjoy!))

Emerson O'Connor grew up in Los Angeles, living with her brother Brian O'Connor. They had a good relationship... at least until Emerson grew up. They started to fight, and it wasn't a normal amount. Sure siblings butted heads from time to time but not like Brian and Emerson. It was mostly from hurt, hurt from past family issues, and just general trauma from the life Brian found himself in.
Emerson got to the point that she had to leave. She was expecting to just get out of the city or even the state, but a one way ticket to Tokyo caught her attention. When she landed she found herself at a 7/11, but her mind was focused on all the cars that drove past. Ending up at a car show, that's when Emerson realizes she might of ended up where she needed to be all along.
