In the heart of the city's relentless rhythm, Izzy Rhodes finds herself caught in a storm of circumstance. Working a dead-end job, she clings to her dream of becoming an author, channeling her creativity into newspaper articles that barely pay the bills. Her lifeline rests in a manuscript destined for a competition, the golden ticket to a career as a novelist. Fate, however, orchestrates a different melody when Izzy gets stuck in an elevator with her brooding neighbour and former confidant, James Clarke. Once inseparable, their friendship fractured, leaving bitterness in its wake. The confined space becomes a crucible for confrontation, forcing Izzy and James to unravel the tangled threads of their past. As they navigate the echoes of friendship and betrayal, Izzy's dream teeters on the edge of despair. The manuscript, her passport to a new life, is slipping away with each passing moment. Can Izzy and James bridge the chasm that divides them, or will this forced reunion be the final act in their unraveling relationship?

Stephanie doesn't give second chances. Has she finally met someone to change her mind? ------------------------------------------------------ Stephanie Halder thinks she has it all; the successful boyfriend about to propose, the beautiful downtown condo, and hopefully soon, her dream job. But none of that is on her mind when she's stuck in an elevator for hours with a stranger, and all she can think about is not peeing herself in front of him. When the life she thought she was building crumbles around her over the course of a half-eaten steak dinner, Stephanie starts over, looking for happiness in the exact opposite places she did before.
