A hole in time and space swallows Laura up before Alioth can. She wakes up in the arms of a stranger in a red mask. She reacts appropriately. 

Turns out that she has somehow escaped the void, and is now a part of the Sacred Timeline. It doesn't seem like there are any TVA agents on their way to rip her away again, so maybe she has a chance to actually build a life for herself this time.

And who knows, maybe the man in the red mask could be part of that life. He definitely seems like he could use the company.

He asked, pulling out a cigar "It still feels weird" I replied honestly, leaning back against the trunk of the tree "the Professor offered me a job. Turns out some kids wanted to learn how to cook, said I'd think about it" "You're staying" he said "might as well do something to keep yourself occupied" "Yeah" I replied with a small shrug Plucking the cigar from his hand, I snapped my fingers, causing a small fire to spark on my index finger, putting the cigar in my mouth and lighting it, taking a few puffs and blowing the smoke out. I took another puff, handing it back to him and blowing the smoke out, letting the fire spread on my hand, watching the blue flames dance. Another sigh emitted from me, wiggling my fingers a bit, "Have you figured out a name for yourself?" He asked curiously "I think I got one" I replied with a small smile "Which is?" He prodded ". . .
