LET ME PROTECT YOU [Ace X fem! reader]
"After you're done with everything here on this island. Would you like to maybe- join our crew? For real this time." His eyes light up with hope. "I don't think I'll make it before you leave-" You look away, not bearing to face his piercing stare anymore. "I can wait-" he interrupts, letting go of your hand as quickly as he took it. "I mean uhh... me and the crew... we can wait for you," he stutters out. "This place seems pretty cool. I wouldn't mind staying here for a few more days." "We'll see," you softly chuckle in an attempt to hide your blank eyes. "I mean, who else is supposed to save you when you're halfway beaten to death?" Hearing his halfhearted laugh sent a striking pain through your chest. You swallow hard to keep a sob from escaping your throat as you realise this might be the last time you ever hear it. Tears roll down your cheeks, blurring your vision as you lock eyes with the freckled man you've been dreaming about for the past months. The familiar warmth tingles on your skin as he gently cups your face, his thumb carefully wiping away the tears on your cheek. Without breaking your gaze he leans in closer and whispers, "I don't want to be saved by anybody else, y/n." Ace x fem reader Started September 10th 2024 disclaimers! I do not own the cover art. Mist of Memories ( One Piece )
Hello everyone, it has been awhile since my last One Piece story. About six months if you do not count the revision to Mind's Eye. I honestly had no real plans to make another One Piece fanfic with my other story being such a huge project that I have been procrastination on lately, but recent events had compelled me to write this story. I have always love stories in which the Strawhats goes into Luffy's memories and see events that they had missed in their captain's life, especially with what happened in Impel Down and Marineford. I was kind of going in that direction with Perchance to Dream, but that story was not a fully realized version of that premise. Because the theme was so close to Perchance to Dream, however, I thought it would be redundant for me to do a memory fanfic. It very well maybe redundant, but I decided to write this story anyway since it has been on my mind for weeks. This story is a sequel to Perchance to Dream, but you do not need to read that story to know what is going on. This fanfic also takes some inspirations from LuffySmileyFace's story 'The Memories of a Straw Hat' and Didannl's 'The Journey into Luffy's Memory'. Even through these two do not know me, I want to thank them for firing up my interest in this story idea again. Spoilers: Pretty much one big one for the entire series up to Return to Sabaody with some bits of information from the latest arcs. There are also spoiler from Perchance to Dream. No Regrets, Right?
The Revive Revive Fruit, fruit rumored to exist and is written off by many. Despite being a devil fruit, this particular one is different from the rest... It's not a Paramecia, Zoan, Logia, or even the rumored artificial fruit. No. This fruit is a rare ancient fruit; the only one of it's kind to ever exist. Rumor has it, that this specific fruit was to have existed during the time of within Void Century. Though, it is said that the history can be found by reading all 4 of the Road Poneglyphs, not much is known about the fruit, but two things. That it is somewhere out there in the great blue seas, and that it can revive one who's on the brink of death. Most who have heard the rumor of the Revive Revive Fruit, have written it off as just that, a rumor; just like with Roger's treasure, the One Piece. However, many of the bigger names in the world believe it's out there somewhere. Pirates, Marines, the World Government and Nobles, are all desperate to find this rare fruit for themselves. The only problem is, no one knows where the fruit is. Or that someone already possesses its power. (More about the fruit will be revealed throughout the story, so bear with me!) -------------------- I do not own One Piece, Eiichiro Oda does! This book begins during Thriller Bark.
