Spittlebug moved to Pantala to get a breath of fresh air from her busy hive life. She intended to create a farm and sell whatever she grew to the neighbouring kingdoms. Maybe even find a wife and settle down with some dragonets. Until she quite literally bumped into Meltwater. Not wanting to break the dragon's heart, she agrees on a date. Hopefully she wouldn't regret her choice... Meltwater had a hard life. She's repressed a lot of memories of her past, but she knows her and her best friend, Skink, have survived a lot. They kept each other alive while they were out on the streets, neither being wanted by their parents. But now, she was grown, and the two ran a shop together. And she managed to stumble her way into Spittlebug. She'd not the biggest fan of the small dragon, but she does come with free housing, and the HiveWing does seem attached... Upon starting middle school, rumors of a portal hidden deep within a forest on the outskirts of Jamwell begin to circulate. Wanting to avoid anymore unnecessary trouble, they ignore these rumors. However, when mysterious circumstances lead to them being tossed into the rumored portal, they know there's no avoiding the journey ahead. Navigating this new world for an exit will be no easy task. With a dragon around every corner, war hanging in the air, and a very, very awkward team for companions, Melodii is seemingly stuck in this world of adventure---and danger.
