While the countless murders of young adults were still being investigated, Adam was losing countless days of sleep, and that made him slightly insane. However, that didn't stop him from getting retired, his days of being a detective was over, perhaps for good. 

Or not,

He was stubborn, persistently trying to solve the murder cases the police could not figure out.  

So, the recent kill's been in apartment 6, and there are 12 players roaming free in the city, and who's the killer, and which player will put an end to this madness.

When I witnessed my best friend being murdered, I did all that I knew how to do, and I called the cops. They captured the murderer and put him in prison, and for a while, I felt safe. I had the cops on my side and just enough strength left in me to try to get my life back in order. But of course, as the story goes, that illusion of 'safety' was short-handed. The murderer escaped a high security prison. I know I am the top of his hit list. And I'm not sure when he will find me, or how he will do it, but he is after me. And my limited time is running out.

[COMPLETED] "Shoot," Joey mumbles, letting out a string of profanities under his breath. We turn around to find a group of men, all with guns, standing where we just came from, and they look pissed... probably because they were forced to run through this tunnel after us. "Thought you could get away, didn't you?" The man who I saw before asks. His husky voice booms in the hollow tunnel, reverberating off of the dirt walls. His voice sounds familiar, and a realization strikes me. It sounds like the man from my dream. I remember him holding a gun and wearing a blue suit, smiling evilly at me. "Leave us alone," Joey says, sounding dangerous and snapping me out of my thoughts. The levity of the situation hits-we need to get out of here. I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living. [Written for 2018 Christmas] ❝He sees you when you're asleep, he knows If you're awake❞ Christmas night was always about the fun for adults. Remembering the birth of Jesus Christ for religious people and getting presents from Santa Clause for children. That's why these ten teenagers arranged a sleepover in Germanotta Mansion, owned by one of the teenager's grandmother. The sleepover takes place at the huge empty room upstairs in the corner of the third floor right after the Christmas party that left these teenagers exhausted but that didn't stop them from playing a silly game called "The Midnight Game" where The Midnight Man comes to claim the player's life if they failed to stay away from him. The Game starts right at the midnight, you're advised to move around the house until the game ends at three thirty-three in the morning that's if you win, for the ones who lose, the game might end earlier than that along with their lives. Sure, it was fun running around acting like there's a man chasing you from behind until the real Midnight Man appeared releasing hell on the mansion. The adults were having fun drinking in an after-party at a bar while their kids were slaughtered one by one by The Midnight Man. However, the midnight man was not the only thing the teenagers should be worried about. Apparently, there's been a robbery going on inside the mansion since Mrs. Germanotta most valuable jewel went missing from her granddaughter, Evelyn's neck right after the game started. The teenagers were all terrified after finding out that they were locked inside a mansion possibly with a bunch of robbers and a supernatural killer hiding in the dark corners of the huge building without their parents nor cellphone line. One thing for sure, they have to keep moving to stay alive.

When the days become plagued with crime and drugs, a city becomes less of a city, and more like a breeding ground for illegal activities. My city, my home, is in shambles. The only news that goes on is of missing persons, found bodies, and big wigs pretending to care. This isn't what I want from my city, but what can you do? I'm just one man, one detective in this cursed situation. Working for the law, and being one of the only few that isn't bribed by the mafia. I'll never know if I'm safe sleeping at night or stepping out of my apartment. My job is enough to get me killed one day, but I don't know how I'm still kicking with the mafia leader hating my guts. If only I could take my city back from one of the biggest gangs that run the streets. One man couldn't do it, but am I going to try, or just fall victim to the cycle? I guess I was never one to back down from a challenge. Maybe I'd find some unlikely allies along the way, and maybe, just maybe, the good guys will finally prevail.
