Courtney Wilson lives a normal life as a student at a university in Los Angeles. She's adopted, and knows nothing about her real family. That is, until her unknown twin brother calls her one day, and turns her life upside down. Her twin brother turns out to be Zayn Malik, one of the famous five of One Direction. Courtney had been told many times that she looks like Zayn, but she could've never guessed they were related.
Zayn asks Courtney for a huge favor. He's outburned by his fame, and needs a long break from it. Instead of leaving One Direction, he asks Courtney to take his place. Without the world knowing, Courtney decides to help her brother out. Perhaps this is her chance to get to know him better, by literally stepping in his shoes?
Being Zayn means living with four other boys without being found out. As she begins to spend more time with Louis from the band, she can't help but fall for him. Will he find out her secret? Will Courtney be able to stay secretly hidden?
