When Veterinarian Sofia Issac nearly hits a giant wolf with her car she gets more than she bargained for. She aids and cares for Luca in his wolf form, not knowing of his true nature and grows to bond with him, sharing her secrets and fears with him all the while he is unable to change into his human form whilst not only his body heals but his mind. She's found it hard to let any one get close to her following the dark events of her past, but she feels safe in the Lucas' presence and knowing he wont share her secrets or judge her past makes healing a whole lot easier for her. Something shes been unable to do for 10 years.

Luca Greyson was brought up to always put his pack first, to serve and protect them as his father did before him. When a new alpha of a neighbouring pack decides he wants to take Lucas pack from him leaving him for dead at the bottom of a cliff, he manages to stumble across Sofia who aids him back to health. Listening to her confide in him, talk about her troubles and fears has Luca feeling as protective of her as he does his pack, He begins to care and feel deeply for her, showing her compassion for animals and her kind-hearted nature. But will she forgive him when he shows his true form?
