For 20 years, 3 months, and 2 days; Ivan Kozlov was wrongly convicted on the charges brought forth by the shooting that occurred at his high school dance. At the time of sentencing, he had only been 14 years old. New evidence was brought to light pointing to the true shooter; with Ivan out of prison, he struggles to adapt with the world that kept spinning even as he was paused in that cell for twenty long years. His younger brother was kind enough to let him stay with him, despite the fact he had his own family to worry about. Oh, did he mention that his sister in law was the younger sister of one of the victims in the shooting and one of his best friends? Laugh with him in the babysitting shenanigans that are his nephew and niece, cry with him as his trauma overwhelms him, and connect with him as he tries to make amends with his past and the fact what was done can't be erased. Whether or not he heals is a question of time and only Father Time can control it.
