He died, his breath stolen by the battlefield, his eyes closing in a final surrender. Karna lay there, lifeless and broken. But in the void of nothingness, a voice whispered softly in his ear.

"I will give you another chance." The voice, melodious and calm, echoed through the shadows. "A final chance, Ashwatthama. But you won't remember, only see."

Far away, Krishna, the boy with the peacock feather, watched with a knowing smile, distant from the two older boys. Another chance had been given. A chance to rewrite the deadliest war, to avoid the bloodshed. He hoped this time, the son of the Sun wouldn't set. He prayed the ansh of Mahadev wouldn't bring destruction. And above all, he wished his elder cousin wouldn't be broken.

"Bhrata Duryodhan," he thought with a faint smile, "I heard your last plea."

Elsewhere, a bond blossomed between two boys with piercing gazes, arrows sharper than needles, and grins as bright as the sun. But when obstacles arose, their resolve was tested.

"What are you?" His eyes widened in disbelief.
"I am a human." Confusion clouded his voice.
"Y-You are a... Kshatriya!" He stammered, his voice trembling.
"I am not a Kshatriya." Anger simmered beneath the surface.

Was their friendship already in the ruins?

"Fate has given another chance, and he is watching us.
We are unaware that destiny is changing-for love."

"Stop following me! Just let me go and leave me in peace!" she pleaded, struggling against his unrelenting grip. "I won't. Not today, not ever. Not after finding you again," he said firmly. "I don't belong here. This isn't my place. Let me go," she begged, desperation in her voice. He shook his head. "You've always belonged. Since the beginning of time, we were meant to be together." "You'll never convince me," she snapped. "I won't be part of this farce or let you treat me like an object without a will of my own." "It's not a farce. It's as real as the sun, and you will be part of it-whether you want to or not. Your only desire should be our companionship," he declared. "Please," she whispered, one last plea as her hand inched toward her waistband. "The only thing left to do... do it for her, if not for love. " he ordered. "For love?" she murmured, shaken. Then her expression hardened. "But love was never an option," she spat, her voice dripping with disgust-before she struck with full force. It wasn't supposed to end like this. Anwesha-once a soldier by choice, not birth-had embraced duty for her nation. But one failed mission led her to the dark waters of the Ganges. Caught in a whirlpool, she accepted death like an old friend. Yet, she didn't die. She woke up in another timeline, but here, she didn't belong. A misfit, a lone coal in a chest of gold. She wasn't chosen by fate, nor favored by the gods-just an accident struggling to return home. But every path back was closed. Trapped, she resolved to be a silent observer. Yet fate had other plans. She crossed paths with the Scions of Kuru, a dynasty shaping history itself. She hadn't intended to get involved, but now she was entangled in their world, for better or worse. Can she survive in this era, or will she find her way back? More importantly-who is she, really? And why her? After all, nothing in this world, or beyond it, is mere coincidence. • Book I of Lost in Times Series •

Advika, 25, recently retired from her perilous career as a spy for the Indian government. She's faced trauma that most couldn't bear in a lifetime. Now, all she craves is the one thing her life lacked-normalcy. A quiet, boring life free from the shadows of her past. But she'd never admit it, even to herself. To desire simplicity feels like weakness. Yet, deep down, that's all she wants-something real, something safe. Karna, born a suta but kshatriya by heart, is a man who defied everything society forced upon him. Humiliated, cursed, and denied his rightful place, all he ever longed for was to learn weaponry-archery, his true calling. Though denied by every royal and guru, he carved his own path, mastering the art despite them all. Now, he seeks the respect and glory he's been denied, determined to claim his place in Hastinapur, the very kingdom that rejected him. He's no longer just a man-he's an enigma, a force of sheer will. But what happens when Karna, through mysterious forces, arrives in Advika's house? In a clash of instinct and fear, she attacks first, questions later. Their worlds, separated by centuries and desires, suddenly collide. One seeking peace, the other seeking glory. Both wanting the impossible. Advika wanted a simple life after the storms of her past. But maybe it was too much to ask. Karna wanted respect and honor in the land that spurned him. But maybe that, too, was too much to ask. Though their lives are worlds apart, something powerful connects them, pulling them into a moment neither can explain. Two souls, bound by destiny, stand before each other in an era foreign to them both. And as they each seek what they desire most, one truth becomes clear-when the universe conspires to grant your deepest wishes, there's always a price. The question is: at what cost?

"So, should I take it as a 'yes' Dharani?", Acharya asked me looking straight into my eyes as if he is reading my expressions. I immediately looked down trying to compose myself and hide my feelings before he actually reads them. "Or would you like to take your word bac...." "It's a yes," I replied confidently. Taking your word back is the worst thing you could do in a royal family. It is a sign of weakness and is just unacceptable. Moreover, I am pretty sure Arjun would never agree to marry me. So why should I be the one to reject. "What about you, Arjun?" asked King Indra turning towards his son. "You remember what you told yesterday right?" he said signaling Arjun about something. The room was filled with absolute silence and I realized that the only sound that could be heard is that of my bangles, and that is because my right hand is slightly shivering. "Umm...father....I, " Arjun stuttered perhaps for the first time in his life, "accept....accept... this marriage proposal." I looked at Arjun in disbelief. My eyes widened and I didn't know how but my hand was already on my forehead. I didn't expect this from him. Why in the world would he want to marry me? He hates the way I look at the world. He wants everyone to be as heartless as him and I would never be able to do that. "Dangerously kind" is the word he used to describe me a while ago. We wouldn't even make good friends, let alone life partners. How in the world could we live together? "So it's official. You both are going to get married," king Indra said smiling while Acharya was writing something on a paper as if he already knew this is not going to be all love love. "This is more of an agreement king," he said as he wrote down, "and they knew it. They were eavesdropping on our conversation from the beginning." True, we heard them. We understood what they had planned, but we didn't want to get married. At least I didn't.....

Book #1 in Sinful Series RUDRANSHxAADHYA "Do you know what I do with traitors?" His voice was hard but shaky, like he was barely holding back his rage. I shook my head, fear gripping me as I tried to stay still. His lips twisted into a cruel smile, amusement mixed with malice. "I make them regret it," he whispered, his breath warm against my skin. The knife hovered near my throat. My heart raced, each beat echoing my terror. I didn't dare move or breathe as his eyes searched mine for any hint of defiance. "But since you're mine, and I can't hurt you," he continued, his voice calm despite the heat of his breath, "I'll go after the one who dared to touch what's mine. He won't see the next sunrise." Tears filled my eyes, and I shook my head. A cold chill ran through me as his tone turned deadly. "I'll make him suffer," he promised darkly. "He'll beg for mercy, but by the end, he'll wish he never even looked at you." His lips brushed mine as he whispered, sending dread coursing through me. "And when it's done, you'll know how far I'll go to protect what's mine." I looked into his eyes, the horror of what was coming sinking in. There was nothing I could do to stop him. The storm was coming, and it would leave only destruction behind. Join Rudransh and Aadhya on their rollercoaster ride, where betrayal and mistrust threaten to tear them apart at every turn. In a world where loyalty is fleeting and the line between love and hate blurs, they must navigate the dark shadows of their pasts and the dangerous forces that conspire against them.
