It was just another day in Pinebrook Valley when shocking news broke: a local woman had vanished without a trace. The tranquility of the suburban town shattered as panic gripped the community. Soon after, another woman went missing, followed by a third, and then a fourth. It wasn't long before eight women were reported missing, with seven of them tragically found murdered. The FBI arrived to investigate the serial killer terrorizing the streets, but the case quickly went cold. Despite their best efforts, they couldn't uncover any substantial leads, and the killer seemed to vanish into thin air. A decade passed, and whispers of the murders faded into folklore. The townspeople believed the killer had died, and what began as a chilling narrative transformed into urban legends-stories mothers told their children to keep them from wandering out late at night. Curfews were imposed, turning into rituals meant to protect the citizens of Pinebrook Valley. Then, Mabel, an avid antique collector, attended a public auction to bid on a particular storage unit. The next day, she was reported missing, and unease settled over the town once again. Detective Jones, Mabel's best friend, sensed that something was terribly amiss. Driven by a mix of dread and determination, she embarked on an investigation that would lead her down a dark path-one filled with secrets and a truth she might not be ready to face. Will Detective Jones uncover the horrifying reality behind Mabel's disappearance, or will she become the next victim in a story that refuses to remain buried?

He finally found the one. The one that he had given up on finding at such an early age, he finally found the person who could complete him. Now he just had to make sure he could keep her safe. He had found her in the worst possible place: right in the middle of a case. "By the way," his partner pulled him out of his thoughts. He surprised him by giving him a mischievous smirk. "That growl? 10/10 in my book. Very spooky. 9/10 on Rotten Tomatoes for Plot and Suspense. Of course, one point was taken away for doing it near humans, a woman, nonetheless. But, other than that, loved it." He had to take a deep breath for that. He stopped walking and glared at the man. "You know," he started. "One of these days you're going to wind up dead because of that mouth." "From you?" "Possibly." "Good," that smirk never left his face. "You have no idea how annoying it is being immortal." "Can't be worse than being friends with one," he rolled his eyes and continued his walk. As much as he was excited to find his love, he couldn't help but be concerned for the woman. She was a gypsy without a past or a family. And it seemed like there was more than just him looking for her. But who was it? And why? Why was she trapped in that glass? Detective Jim Magnar didn't know the answer to that. But he had a feeling that this was just the start to something much grander than a simple call on the police radio. It was a destiny trapped in glass. And now he had to figure out where it was leading him. * A mystery romance with a supernatural twist! Come and join this detective's ragtag group of friends and coworkers as he deciphers who is after the love of his life! Will he be able to win her over? Completed 07/31/23
