Mitsuri Hanako Senju is the adopted daughter of Tsunade Senju. She had been kicked out of her home by her previous family because her older twin was jealous of her beauty and hated her. She was found by Orochimaru and his wife Tsunade of the three sannin. They take her in and raise her as their child, letting her take on the Senju name.

After 7 years, the family returns to the village for her to attend the academy.
