A story told from the journal entries of Dr. Louis Rogers. Dr. Rogers is feeling down about where his life is when he is made head of a research team. While most people would be over joyed by this, he is disappointed because he's been assigned to a remote planet with no life on it. Dr. Rogers feels like he's been given the short end of the stick until he discovers something that no one else ever has. This discovery might just change his view on life.
