It's not easy being a Shaman for the Goddess. Ethan isn't sure anyone is going to understand enough to be his mate. But maybe goddess knows what she's asking and think he deserves a reward. But will his mate agree?

Excerpt:
"Your papa... one of them. Gave me the clothes. I've been traveling in shape for weeks. Your dad gave me a little money. I was going to head out. He offered to drive me into town but I've gotten used to the country side so I'm going to walk. I wanted to say goodbye." I stood nodding trying not to let the pain and hurt show.
"I hope you stay safe. If you ever need anything just call." he nods. I can see he's debating on something but just steps back and waves. I listen as he goes down the steps than watch from the window as he goes down the drive. He looks back at the house as he reaches the end but after a moment strides down the road. I feel the need to run after him claw at my gut. I couldn't do that. I wouldn't force him. I paced my room then strode down the hall into my fathers office. He sat on the couch. I went straight to his scotch poured a very full glass and downed it in a couple swallows.
"If you didn't want him to go, why did you let him?"
"Because I won't force a claim anymore than you would. We fulfilled his heat, it gave us time to know each other. If he'd wanted me he wouldn't be getting further from me."
