Even though Lara never thought she would get roped into conflict with an organization ruled by men who want the world to be the epitome of patriarchy and racism, she still managed to do it along with her younger sister, her 'dog' and the enemy of the organization.

I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. This story still is a work in progress, it has holes and it is to be continued
