The story touches upon the issues within the real world and similar crimes that have been committed by wealthy or higher off individuals within todays modern society. Diving into the depths of those who are poisoned by greed, power, lust, etc.
It's such a troubling thought to think if you were to survive the maze of rats... You ought to be clever and quiet to pick out your own demise rather than the ones that have eyes on you.
