The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 will feature an expanded format with 20 teams, up from the previous 16. These teams will be divided into four groups of five. The tournament will proceed as follows:
Group Stage: The 20 teams are split into four groups of five. Each team plays the other teams in their group once, resulting in four matches per team.
Super 8 Stage: The top two teams from each group advance to the Super 8 stage, forming two groups of four teams each. Teams play against each other in their group, leading to three matches per team.
Semi-Finals: The top two teams from each Super 8 group move on to the semi-finals. The winners of each semi-final match advance to the final.
