Lucian Kiev is the seventh prince of the country of Kardaria. Feeling bored and unrequired he decides to join a training program. The thing is- only one person can make it out alive out of 600. He learns early on, that being the last man standing would be no easy task, even though he and his partner are ranked second in the program. 

Being the one in six hundred, grants you a huge cash prize and makes you a general of the army. With the war to succession coming up, which Lucian has no intention to participate in (HE PLANS TO WIN), he struggles to survive in the training program.

Although involved in a whirlwind of magic, he still finds himself focusing on the more human aspects of his life: trying to find any remnant of his father, battling with his sexuality, and trying to convince his mom to leave the man who physically abused both of them for years.
