Marinette has suffered the pain of betrayal. Her friends turned their backs on her because of Lila leaving her all alone. She only has her family who believe her. They decided to move away from France and head to Japan where a good family friend lived. Marinette reconnected with old friends including her old crush Izuku Midoriya. A year and a half later her friends found out about Lila's lies and wanted to find Marinette and apologized. They don't find her until a few years later when they take a trip to Japan in an act of peace when they find Marinette as a Mom.
