Hot shot is five years old and he lives with his father Heatwave, and his mother Quickshadow. They live in Fort Worth Texas. Hot shot loves to run jump climb and play. He is a very active child. Hot shot loves sports and video games too. Hot shot is a very kind and caring child as well. He has a big heart. His parents are glad to have such a kind and caring son. Hot shot will be starting school in the fall. However things start to take turn. In June Hot shot begins to feel very unwell. Hot shot has a bad headache that won't go away, he is vomiting, he is tired, he is walking funny, he is falling down a lot, his eyes are have weird movements, he is having double vision, lost coordination, loss of balance and his head is tilting to the left. One night Hot shot is feeling really bad and his parents decide to take him right to Cook children's and not wait any longer. Hot shot is nervous and scared. Hot shot is admitted to the hospital. There Hot shot gets an MRI scan done first thing in the morning. Hot shot is the diagnosed with a brain tumor. Hot shot gets a biopsy done and then diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is ready to be brave and fight his cancer. Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer. They all become the best friends and fight their cancer together. They go through it all together and have good times and bad times. They make more friends and lose some. But Hot shot and his new friends are determined to kick brain tumor butt! (Humanized.)
