An apocalypse has started when a mutated strand of the flu gets a vaccination that is turning people into flesh eating undead. Eleanor and her best friend Zeek along with their group of friends are living at a military ran safe camp that is stationed at the old world college SDSU. People from the camp keep getting these letters saying they are needed in medical then they are never seen again but this is kept under wraps because of all the new people that keep arriving at the camp.  
Eleanor is eventually one of these people who receive the letter, she finds out that the people are getting used as test dummies to find a cure for this, Nora knows in her heart that there is no fixing this and its the new way of life and theses people are getting injected and are turning into those biters that live out side of camp walls. Nora and Zeek know they have to escape this place or it will eventually cost them their lives. but what happens when they get out. the life of comfortable security they once had is now gone. They have to figure out how to live this new life of being survivors but they soon find out the undead isn't the only danger that awaits them.
