Ardaunt Derache was an assault trooper of the Muvel Republic, fighting in a devastating industrial war where magic and swords became obsolete to artillery and firearms. But it was soon to end, in a trench he looks up to see the gargantuan structure he needs to assault looming ahead. All he has to do is cross killing fields of barbed wire, mines, bodies, trenches and empire troops with his comrades under his command, along with undead soldiers who once were.
