Silas opens the door, glancing down with a look I've never seen before. "Get up Amelia."

I held my head down trying to hide the river of tears running down my face while ignoring the weird change of energy in the atmosphere.

He lets out a sigh before grabbing my arm, yanking me off my butt and onto my feet.
"Life is filled with secrets and things you know nothing about, so stop using her death as an excuse to run off and hide."

He lets go of my arm roughly throwing it as if touching me was like touching fire. "You need to Grow up Amelia, you're a leader now... Act like it."

I let my brain process his words and the fact that I'm looking at the real Silas, The Silas without a mask and filter. I've heard stories of this version of him but never actually experienced it for myself.

"If growing up means being like you, Ill rather replace my mother whose lying dead in a coffin. Would that finally make you happy Silas?"
