After thinking about it for a while, I want to share a sort of reimagining of the legend of Zelda breath of the wild
(skip bellow the following text to the actual story if you just want what the story is (going to be) about)

I have loved botw since it came out, however, I, like a lot of you probably, thought there wasn't enough to the story, and I guess the community has influenced my Invision of how botw should have gone, but I'm getting ahead of myself

I want to make this reimagining somewhat realistic in terms of how characters react, but don't expect that much from me in those terms

(how I want the story to go)
this will mainly focus on building Link's past and actually giving him his character, but I will also somewhat change the other main characters, but I will make them as close to their in-game personality as possible

(the actual story)
Link has always been a prodigy in combat ever since he was a child.
His father is a newly retired member of the royal guard and lives with his family in a ranch (if you know the location, you know what I'm talking about) and was the first to realize Link's skills.
His skills were so good, that he was able to beat most adults, albeit with a suitable weapon and the adult isn't a soldier.
his skills had gained him a reputation whenever they traveled.
What kind of adventures will be in store for Link later in life?

This is my first story that I'm willing to put out, I plan on getting this story and the botw changed story out, but I'll have to consider if I want to continue after that point

P.S. I can understand that the first chapter may not be that interesting, so if you don't, then skip to at the very least character 4 or 5 as that's when the story picks up the pace. But if you stick through the other chapters, I heavily appreciate that as well.

Mipha: A Champion Rises by Andremoi_88
18 parts Complete
What if Mipha was rescued from Ruta and used her last ounce of strength to heal a dying Link at the Shrine of Resurrection, then was placed in the shrine instead? When Mipha awakens 100 years later with no memory, she must play the role of hero until she can free Link and Zelda. This story is loosely based on a plot by Peregrine of the Zelda BOTW Modding Discord channel, who is actively developing a game mod called Mipha's Grace released in 2025. ( https://shrinefox.com/mipha ). I would like to thank Peregrine for the idea. This is a work of fan fiction using characters and events from the world of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is owned and copyrighted by Nintendo. I obviously do not claim any ownership of the world or its characters. This writing is a work of my imagination and is for entertainment only. It is not part of the official Nintendo storyline. I welcome all feedback, both positive and negative, as long as it's expressed respectfully. Comments containing offensive language will be removed, as they do not align with the intended tone of my narratives or the expectations of our audience. Constructive criticism and questions about certain choices in the storyline are appreciated and respected. I hope it's clear these stories are a work of my imagination about hypothetical events in a fictional world. Obviously your vision or interpretation of possible events may differ. To those readers who find so much fault with the stories that they're compelled to deluge us with negative comments, I would politely suggest they move on to stories more to their liking. Spoiler Warning: This story has spoilers if you have not completed the game including the expansion packs.
I Love You, Always Forever; A Medieval Zelink Story AU by Link-knight-177
20 parts Complete
Zelink AU Medieval Fanfiction Zelda, currently Princess of Hyrule wishes to see the world outside of the castle. Her father expects her to marry one of the chosen suitors to prepare Hyrule's next King, but she doesn't like the sight of any of them. Link is a Hylian knight with a tragic past. Being secretive and closed off is how he prefers to live. He has a quest he believes he must do alone-to find his older sister. But Hyrule is subject to an unknown danger, within itself. How will the mystery unfold and how will Zelda and Link achieve their dreams? I don't think I'm super great at medieval writing...(knowing the time period, vocabulary, descriptions, etc...) but I tried anyways! Sorry for the unappetizing description. But I think I write stories better than I write summaries I promise haha... ~Clean and appropriate for most ages~ There will be some minor blood and other descriptions that may be disturbing for young people. I'd say 12+? Cover art does not belong to me, I don't know who it belongs to. If it's yours and you want it taken down, let me know and I'll do that. No swearing in comments or anything inappropriate please. That being said I would love some constructive criticisms because I want to become a better writer. All rights belong to Nintendo. The rights of the plot go to me, and please don't post anything I write anywhere else. Highest rating #10 Zelink 4/13/20 COMPLETED** DECEMBER 30, 2023
A Tale of Two Princesses by Andremoi_88
22 parts Complete
What if Mipha put her love for Link and concern for Zelda ahead of Daruk's plan to rush to her Divine Beast? This story takes place in an AU that begins on the day of the Great Calamity. There is no time travel and the sequel to this story is "Love in Zora's Domain". Spoiler Warning: This story has spoilers if you have not completed the game including the expansion packs. I would like to clarify my approach to managing comments. I welcome all feedback, both positive and negative, as long as it's expressed respectfully. Comments containing offensive language will be removed, as they do not align with the intended tone of my narratives or the expectations of our audience. Constructive criticism and questions about certain choices in the storyline are appreciated and respected. However, I find it tiresome and unproductive when individuals use comments to disparage one plot element after another, chapter by chapter, indicating their fundamental displeasure with many aspects of the story. I have no intention of rewriting mine.

WARNING: spoilers for BotW, description of violence/gore, ships Yes, this does include ships only because I'm a big fan of Revalink and Mipha x Zelda. I apologise if this make you uncomfortable! Enjoy. BotW is set 100 years after Calamity Ganon struck Hyrule, Link, the main protagonist, must fight against this overlying evil through boss fights (Stone taluses, the Blights or Ganon itself) and monsters. Mipha, Daruk, Revali and Urbosa had died to Waterblight, Fireblight, Windblight and Thunderblight and helped Link as spirits. But what if they had been healed or saved before they died? Would this mean a happy ending for everybody, finally?
