Mia understands how it feels to be deprived of a perfect family. It took her years to accept that she is fated for something else and her destiny is something that she cannot control. She didn't wish for a family that's built on riches, with her almost non-existent mother and a perfectly imperfect father figure that she adores the most.

She has no perfect story to tell, let alone a memory worth childhood to remember. What she have where lies and pretenses of trying to be as good as her mother and an admirable reflection of the Vescontis. She takes part in a family that doesn't know how to be soft to a child.

Her mother left her in her father's care, that also left her in a spun of a few months. Yet after all that, she couldn't bring herself to hate him. Until then, Mia grew up with the royalties. King Maximus became her father figure; he is everything his father couldn't be and everything she wishes for a father.

They are the perfect tandem, almost as if they're bonded by blood-perfect proof that blood is thicker than water. He is what she wanted for a father; she is everything that he needs-a daughter that she longed to have for years. Mia thinks that growing up with the royalty means she needs to do everything to pay them back. Little did she know that she's worth more than everything they're willing to gamble.

Yet Mia believes that in the presence of happiness, sadness is just lurking somewhere. She already buried the child that she was years ago, but there is still a longing to avenge what is gone. A child could only dream of beautiful things; she stopped being a child a long time ago.
