Daydream Princess

Before becoming sultan, His Majesty Kalil Raeri was visited by a god. The god noticed young Kalil to be in distress over his late father's death and unsure of his ability to rule over his empire. The god, in an attempt to comfort, offered the prince one wish. No matter what it was he would grant it. He smiled as an immediate answer came to his lips. "I wish to be a greatest sultan there ever lived!..."

And so he was. He gained wisdom beyond his years, he transformed into a warrior that would come to conquer many of the neighboring kingdoms. He was attractive and with his growing harem produced many children. He gained riches beyond compare but all of that seemed futile when the one thing he truly desired haunted him like a ghost. A woman he swears to see in the corner of his eyes, next to him while he sleeps, on the faces of the consorts he makes love to, in the armor of the enemies he kills.

The most beautiful woman he has ever seen seems to always be the furthest from his grasps the closer he gets to reaching her. Until one night he finally, and truly sees her in the streets of the capital dancing to the New Years festival music. He finds himself utterly enthralled, and decides she will be his. No matter what.
